Herridge: My time at CBS news

This week on "Straight to the Point," a personal message. In 2025, our team bet big on independent journalism. We believe that you were tired of talking points TV, you were tired of the stale predictable formats on Sunday, and that you were open to something new. A recent Gallup poll reinforced our reporting. It found less than 30 percent of Americans are confident the media covers the news fully, accurately, and fairly. I experienced this myself as a CBS News Senior Investigative Correspondent assigned to the Hunter Biden probe. After I left, I wanted to be transparent about the blocks I faced at CBS News

60 characters is not enough for the headline she used.

I posted this because I thought it was interesting. Hopefully a few of you have the time to click the link and read the transcript.

Actually I'm very much in wait and see mode and my expectation that they will fulfill what they are pledging is low.

Article author was chief intelligence correspondent for Fox News Channel, which she joined at its inception in 1996... the writer not straying far from her roots in rwing dementia.

@#1 ... 60 characters is not enough for the headline she used. ...

Full headline: Catherine Herridge: How CBS Stonewalled Me On The Hunter Biden Laptop Story And Seized My Files When I Left

The Hunter Biden laptop story?

Really?

Your current trolling alias is hanging its hat on that?

I mean all she seems to be saying is that ~they didn't believe me.~

She did not present any evidence that I could see to back up her concerns.

It just looks like a whining OpEd.

I posted this because I thought the glimpse she offered into corporate media is interesting. See post #1.

@#8 ... I posted this because I thought the glimpse she offered into corporate media is interesting ...

I read the OpEd she posted.

Yeah, I also found her OpEd interesting, mainly because of her whining.

But now that MAGA-oriented Paramount owns the esteemed CBS News, I suspect she may find a better audience for her whining in the future.

"We believe that you were tired of talking points TV, you were tired of the stale predictable formats on Sunday, and that you were open to something new."

I don't want something new.

I want what we had forty years ago.

I want newscasters to present racism and fascism as bad, not simply a different point of view.
