Russia Targeting Ukrainian Nuclear Sites

In this horrendous "Year of "Mars," Russia is targeting nuclear power plants to destroy Ukraine's infrastructure to freeze and demoralize the people this winter, also raising the specter of potential radiological contamination in the beleaguered country.

Ukraine President Volodomir Zelensky says the Kremlin is targeting Ukraine's nuclear power system in order to destroy the country's power grid and cause alarming levels of civilian suffering. Russia is also planning to ramp up production of attack UAVs in order to use up to 1,000 drones against Ukraine every day.

General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces:

"The enemy plans to significantly increase production in order to use up to 1,000 drones a day." He also said the Russians plan to form at least 11 divisions in 2026 and "pursue the plans and tasks that were left unfinished last year."

Russia plans to draft 409,000 soldiers, adding that it has a mobilization reserve of more than 20 million, of which 4.5 million are trained and can be deployed to reinforce existing units.

Russia has lost 1,150 soldiers killed and wounded over the past day, bringing its total number of personnel losses to 1,223,090.

An international arrest warrant for war crimes issued by the ICC remains active for Vladimir Putin. An indictment is merely an allegation. Mr Putin is to be presumed innocent until proven guilty at an international tribunal to be held for him at the Hague at a future date.
