MTG: You're All Being 'incited into civil war'

"I unapologetically believe in border security and deporting criminal illegal aliens and I support law enforcement. However, I also unapologetically support the 2nd amendment," Greene wrote. "Legally carrying a firearm is not the same as brandishing a firearm."

"I support American's 1st and 4th amendment rights," she continued. "There is nothing wrong with legally peacefully protesting and videoing."

The former House member urged both parties to evaluate the situation objectively, rather than from partisan perspectives.

"Both sides need to take off their political blinders," she said. "You are all being incited into civil war, yet none of it solves any of the real problems that we all face, and tragically people are dying."

;;

She then gets totally delusional (consider her audience!) talking to MAGA about a 'peaceful J6', and giving an example of 'what if' the dead protestor was a MAGA on J6, what would they think?

A must read! lol

@#1 ... A must read! ...

While in the past I have been reluctant to agree with fmr Rep Taylor-Greene (understatement), in this instance I do agree with her apparent awakening to the evils of Pres Trump's MAGA.

Politics makes strange bedfellows, they say.

(originally: "Misery acquaints a man with strange bedfellows" from William Shakespeare's romance The Tempest (1611))

@#3 ... "Misery acquaints a man with strange bedfellows" ...

Possibly.

But my concern in the Minneapolis incidents is that Pres Trump is (intentionally?) provoking, not quelling, unrest.

And why might he be doing that?

Hi Corky:

Strange bedfellows indeed. You can't go wrong citing the Immortal Bard.

MTG is also against AIPAC, unlike many of her GOP colleagues and many Democrats.

She also hollered for ACA subsidies like a Democrat and said NO to war against Iran.

Endnote:

The Tempest is Shakespeare's "swan song" and considered by many to be his finest play. For his last work, the Bard of Avon reverts to classical Greek theater by having the entire comedy take place in one [long] day.

"Gentle Will" also eschewed violence in the play. Even though Caliban talks about it, no one is killed or wounded, something the London audience used to expect from earlier Shakespeare plays like Titus Andronicus, Coriolanus, or Richard III.

Written after the death of Queen Elizabeth (1603), The Tempest also takes subtle sophisticated swipes at the deceased monarch that the English hoi polloi didn't catch, like the references to the dead witch who is mother of the grotesque Caliban.

No. A psychopathic MAGAT three toed sloth is NOT a "must read".

I've said it before, but this lunatic sounding like a voice of reason just shows you how detached from reality the GOP has become.

The Insurrection Act allows US combat troops on American streets.

252. Use of militia and armed forces to enforce Federal authority

Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.

Once declared, martial law could also be declared, removing habeas corpus and allowing military tribunals to take the place of duly elected judges. With Turnip, anyone not in full fledged favor of his demands, could well be put in front of such a tribunal. You have only to look as far as the revenge cases against those who worked on things like his impeachment, or those who worked on gathering evidence for a trial, such as Jack Smith, or those who have gathered attention by publicly disclaiming him in a national setting. Further, with martial law, it could be demanded that all citizens remain with in their homes as a curfew to prevent further public unrest.

By the time that tribunals were to be set up you can be sure, only Turnip supporting officers would be allowed to be part of such a tribunal.

The country is being incited into civil war by the Democrats who continue to demonize Trump, ICE and anything that The President elected by the people tries to do. Trump was elected because of the promises he made during his campaign. EVERY Democrat running for office has the same message, that they either have, or will do whatever it takes to stop Trump. They have no other agenda but to defy, delay, and thwart the president. That's what will lead to civil war!

"They have no other agenda but to defy, delay, and thwart the president. "

^
That was literally the Republican Party agenda from Jan 20, 2009 to Jan 20, 2017.

No, what will lead to civil war is uncalled for killings. Most use the word 'murder'. The protestors aren't the ones with the guns doing the shooting...yet. If it keeps up with these shootings, the other side is sure to eventually follow.
