Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) vowed that he will not attend the upcoming White House dinner for governors and their families because of Donald Trump's refusal to invite Gov. Jared Polis (D-CO) and Gov. Wes Moore (D-MD), who is the sole Black governor in the nation.
He seized on the historically bipartisan event to attack Colorado Gov. Jared Polis and Maryland Gov. Wes Moore.

"Nearly everything that Trumpf touches, he destroys. He has taken an annual bipartisan tradition, and he's turned it into his own 12-year-old birthday party, where he's going to invite some people and not invite others. Everybody but Billy is invited.'
"And the idea that he wouldn't invite Wes Moore, who is our nation's only Black governor, in the same set of days that he put out that video depicting the Obamas the way he did, just speaks volumes.
"Wes Moore is a friend of mine. I certainly ain't going if he's not invited. His pettiness knows no bounds and he makes our life as governors that much harder to ultimately get the results that we try to for our people."

Jared Polis (D-CO) is one of the first openly gay and Jewish governors of a state. Governor Polis has refused to pardon a convicted notorious election denier, angering Dummkopf Trumpf. A potential 2028 POTUS candidate, Governor Andy Beshear (D) may have torpedoed his own political future when in August 2025 he was asked about Israel's brutal genocidal campaign against the Palestinians in Gaza. Beshear's "response was both politically foolish and morally depraved."
