The passenger in the car when a Texas driver was fatally shot last year by a federal immigration agent and disputed the government's version of events died last Saturday in a fiery car crash in San Antonio.

The only passenger in the car when an ICE officer shot and killed a U.S. citizen in Texas last year had planned to speak up and contradict the government's account of the shooting. But the passenger, Joshua Orta, died in an unrelated car crash on Saturday. Read more: nyti.ms/4qTVeDO
