"Marla Rose, a self-described progressive, wanted to see if the rumors of prank deliveries at Nick Fuentes' home were true. She alleged he opened the door before she could ring the bell, pepper-sprayed her, and screamed an expletive. The hatemonger then grabbed her phone and took it into the house.

Fuentes was charged with battery in December. He and Rose were ordered not to have contact with each other.

Fuentes appeared virtually on Zoom at a court hearing, held at the Maywood Courthouse Friday, where Cook County Judge Celestia Mays allowed Marla Rose to read the apology letter to herself but not out loud. She also couldn't keep a copy.

The miscreant's apology was about three or four short paragraphs and seemed not heartfelt and "pretty boilerplate." The apology said something to the effect of "I apologize for overreacting to your uninvited visit," the victim said.
