A meteorite went through the roof of woman's home located north of Houston, Texas, the New York Times reported. No one was injured.
METEOR HUNTERS in Houston -- we now have a map of where meteorite fragments MAY be found! This is from NASA. So far there ARE reports of at least one medium-sized one being recovered (and, unfortunately, causing damage).

Meteorites hitting the earth is not rare.
Hitting something of value on earth is pretty rare.
"Believe it or not, some 17,000 meteorites fall to Earth every year. The data comes from a team of researchers at the University of Manchester and Imperial College London, who have managed to quantify the flow of space material falling onto the planet between 2019 and 2020."
