Trump‘s DOJ Deal: No Audits For Him, Family, Businesses

The Justice Department on Tuesday expanded the agreement it reached this week with President Trump to resolve his extraordinary lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service to include a provision that would bar the agency from pursuing tax claims against the president, his family or his businesses. In a one-page document signed by acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and quietly posted on the department's website, officials vowed not to pursue any matters, including those involving Mr. Trump's tax returns, that are currently pending.

[P]rotectiom from audit could be quite remunerative for Mr. Trump. In 2024, The Times reported that a loss in an I.R.S. audit could cost Mr. Trump more than $100 million.

It is unclear if that examination has concluded or if Mr. Trump, his family members or affiliated entities are under other audits. I.R.S. procedures call for the mandatory audit of the president's tax returns annually.

Federal law prohibits the president, vice president and other executive officers from instructing the I.R.S. to start or stop specific audits. But that broad prohibition does appear to include a carve out for the attorney general

Not a single deplorable Trumping MAGAt will comment on this.

Especially not the ones who were crying for 4 years about the "Biden Crime Syndicate".

Conservatives have handed over the nation to a pedophile to loot in exchange for destroying Western Liberalism.

As part of the settlement between the president and the IRS, the DOJ "forever barred and precluded" the IRS from pursuing Trump, his family members, and his companies over any unpaid taxes.

Not a single deplorable Trumpfing MAGAt will comment on this.

This phenomenon does not just apply to MAGAts.

One drudge.com blogger has repeatedly asked another one to respond to his/her questions.

ZERO responses to answer those simple queries.

But this unresponsive blogger is ready to slime people-- like Coriolanus-- with the worst and most unfounded aspersions.

One drudge.com blogger has repeatedly asked another one to respond to his/her questions.

Sealioning:

Sealioning is a trolling tactic where someone harasses others with endless, bad-faith requests for evidence or "clarification".

Disguised as a polite desire for reasonable debate, the goal is to exhaust the target's patience, derail the conversation, and provoke an angry response.

Key Characteristics:

Feigned Ignorance: The questioner pretends to be unaware of basic facts or easily searchable information to force the other person to do all the labor.

Hyper-Civility: They use polite language (e.g., "I'm just asking questions!") so that if the target gets frustrated and snaps, the troll can act as the victim of an "unreasonable" person.

Relentlessness: They ignore answers and continuously move the goalposts with tangential questions.

Examples: BullJohnson and BullBringer

Both BullBringer and BullJohnson are experts at Sealioning, which is the reason threads they post on reach the triple digits in post counts.

" precluded" the IRS from pursuing Trump, his family members, and his companies over any unpaid taxes."

Nearly 40 years of studying tax cases and dealing with the IRS.

I've NEVER EVEN HEARD of any deal like this, especially a deal which essentially gives carte blanche for his whole family to break the law.

Where are the actual patriots to weigh in?

Where are the actual patriots to weigh in?

Donating to Trump 2028.

Trump will readily stretch the already wretched decision SCOTUS issued in Trump v United States (2024), and claim what amounts to sovereign immunity. Extending it to his family is quite a stretch, but MAGAts won't mind, the Republicans in coats and ties are cool with it, and the march over the cliff continues apace.

Happy 250th!

Hi Clownshack

Thanks for that info.

The blogger I am referring to does not harasses the troll with repeated queries.

He/she merely asks a single poignant question which is ignored.

By not answering the question, the hypocrisy and duplicity of the troll is exposed.

~

Right now I am reading Hitler's Secret Bankers by Adam LeBor about Swiss banking complicity with the Third Reich during the Holocaust, stealing millions and millions of dollars from Jewish victims and then not returning the money to the families of the survivors.

Anyways, I trust you are well.
