DOJ to Sue Ticketmaster Parent Live Nation for Antitrust Violations

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is planning to sue Live Nation, one of the largest ticketing and live events companies in the country, on antitrust grounds, a regulatory source familiar with the DOJ's plans told Axios.

Good. Ticket prices are so insane, and a huge number of venues are controlled mob-style by Live Nation. I saw Led Zeppelin in 1977 for $8.50. I promised myself I would never pay the exorbitant ticket prices on every big show nowadays, but a few years ago I went to see the Elton John farewell tour and paid $550 for two tickets in the upper arena. And prices continue to skyrocket, man!
