US vetoes Palestine bid for UN membership

The US again exercises its veto power in the UN Security Council to kill Palestine's widely supported bid for full UN membership. UN chief Antonio Guterres says six months of war has made Gaza a "humanitarian hellscape", and that a ceasefire would defuse tensions in the Middle East.

So much for two party solution. The USA want it to be a occupied terrortory.

They are Israel's bitch. It's sad.

If the Palestinians have to live in one state they should have equal rights in every way.

This obviously won't happen.

Then they wonder why the Palestinians trust Hamas to lead them,in Gaza.

Genocide Joe really lives up to the nickname.

You mean the 'solution' that
"24% of Palestinians support?"
news.gallup.com

Any other equally likely "solutions" you want to float? Cold fusion? Time travel?

If you want to find an actual solution, maybe start from the facts on the ground.

The Palestinians want the Jews dead, Israel destroyed, and "their" land back. Start from there and maybe you'll find something that will work in the real world.

You don't have a two party solution when there's 2 Palestines and 1 Israel. That'd be a Three Party Solution.

"when there's 2 Palestines" Israel wants as many fractured palestines as it can create. The USA should demand hard borders for weapons.

The group said in a statement that it condemns "in the strongest terms the American position biased towards the occupation", as it called on the international community "to exert pressure to go beyond the American will and support the struggle of our Palestinian people and their legitimate right to self-determination".

Why veto that endeavor? Israel creating a humanitarian hellscape gets the United States vote..

"No confidence generates no votes", pertains to the 2024 election as well.
