Man Pleads Guilty to Shooting at Mayor of Louisville, KY

Quintez Brown (23) pleaded guilty on 19 July to firing gunshots at Louisville, KY Mayor Craig Greenberg (D) during Greenberg's 2022 campaign.

On the morning of 14 Feb 2022, Quintez Brown walked into Greenberg's campaign office and fired multiple shots at him before staffers were able to close and barricade the door. This shooting was characterized as an assassination attempt. Brown faces a minimum penalty of 15 years in prison and a maximum penalty of 18 years and one month in prison when he is sentenced on 21 Oct 2024. Another young man threw his life away.
