Trump Reports Reaction of Nonexistent 'Audience'

Donald Trump has claimed the audience during his presidential debate with Kamala Harris went "absolutely crazy" for him - but there's a huge issue: there was no audience at the ABC debate.

The 78-year-old, who struggled in a 'painful' interview on cryptocurrency this week and insisted his rambling is actually 'genius' in another incoherant rant, made the shock claim on Fox News.

Halfway down the stairs
Is a stair
Where I sit.
There isn't any
Other stair
Quite like
It.
I'm not at the bottom,
I'm not at the top;
So this is the stair
Where
I always
Stop.

Halfway up the stairs
Isn't up
And isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery,
It isn't in the town.
And all sorts of funny thoughts
Run round my head:
"It isn't really
Anywhere!
It's somewhere else
Instead!"

The audience "went absolutely crazy." Yeah, must be "the audience." If they had been there. Which they weren't. Other than in the mind of a tired, old, hopelessly delusionary flimflam man.

Senile old man doing senile old man things...

I am old enough to remember when the press cared about a presidents mental capabilities.

Taylor Swift was in that debate audience. She loves me, honest.

If any MAGA cares-----What Trump is saying and doing I've seen up close and personal. I can tell you that he will not end well.

#6 I remember back during the fraud trial Dementia DonOLD walking out of his flop house and waving to adoring crowds only to have the camera pan to what he was seeing and no one was there.

I for one support mandatory mental acuity tests for candidates done by neutral third party doctors with the result published publicly. None of the Dr. Ronny Johnson lies.

Many of us have seen this sort of behavior - perhaps not quite to this degree - in people we've known, perhaps loved ones. For them and Trump the mental trajectory ks well established and solidly downwards. There will be no improvement, no "getting better." Trump is at the top of his form now. Think about that.

Don't you guys ever get tired at biting at every last piece of troll bait the Donald throws out there?

The troll has an obvious out for this one. It can claim it was talking about the audience at home.

I'm still waiting for the MSM to start writing articles tying all these incorrect things Trump says togther and identifying them for what they are: signs of dementia.

You don't suppose The Donald is "on something" do you? Just to keep him upright. Or maybe Dr. Ronnie has joined the team?

How long have you been waiting now? The problem with Trump is he's been acting demented as part of his schtick for years, and everyone knows that. Trying to his parse his to nonsense to attempt to analyze how much of it is or isn't just an act seems like a futile endeavor that isn't going to change anyone's mind about him.

I think he actually is getting more senile:

We in respond to all his stupid crap in here so Kamala doesn't have to respond to all his stupid crap out there.

@#12 ... The problem with Trump is he's been acting demented as part of his schtick for years, ...

Oh, I agree with everything except the "acting" part.

... everyone knows that. ...

Really?

My (non-medical) view is that, yeah, fmr Pres Trump has shown symptoms of mental degradation for a few years now. And it seems to be getting worse, the rate of degradation seems to be increasing of late.

In Flint, Michigan he was speaking to the autoworkers, and was asked about what he thought the big challenges were to the auto workers and what would he do to resolve those challenges.

Fmr Pres Trump, in response went into a 9 minute babble about nuclear weapons, nuclear war and other ~stuff.~.

www.freep.com

... When one audience member asked Trump what needed to be done to protect the auto industry, Trump veered into a dire warning about the threat of nuclear war and downplayed the threat of climate change, saying the world is cooling.

"It (a nuclear attack) is the single biggest threat to the world, not only Michigan to the world, and you're not going to care so much about making cars, if that stuff starts happening." While some leaders say the threat of nuclear war is higher than in the recent past, it's also true that the world has been warming, not getting cooler, for decades.

Trump also said he would start his first day back in office by responding to increases in recent years in illegal immigration by closing the southern border, despite a current policy that has substantially reduced the number of people being allowed into the U.S. and a move if attempted which is certain to spark lawsuits to block him, and increasing oil production as a way to lower gas prices and transportation costs overall. In 2023, the U.S. produced more oil than in any year when Trump was president.

Trump continued to blast the U.S. economy, saying it was "not good," but the job creation has been up throughout President Joe Biden's term in office, as has the stock market. Inflation rates were high, however, for years following the COVID shutdowns, though they have been coming down in recent months.

The former president also had kind words for Elon Musk, a supporter and founder of electric car maker Tesla, saying Musk "loves your state," even though Tesla has no Michigan operations despite its connection with the auto industry and has been accused by the UAW of trying to intimidate workers' efforts to unionize. ...
