Gaetz Sent over $10K in Venmo Payments to Women who Testified

The House Ethics Committee obtained records, including a check and records of Venmo payments, that appear to show that then-Rep. Matt Gaetz paid more than $10,000 to two women who were later witnesses in sexual misconduct probes conducted by both the House and the Justice Department, according to documents obtained by ABC News.

He got off cheap compared to what Da Jerk Trump has paid out.

They paid for very different things. Trump paid hush money, Gaetz paid for underage sex.

Beverly will be along shortly to ignore this

The Qanon cult GOP first order of business is to bury a report of sex trafficking minor girls because dear leader demands it.

"The Justice Department spent years probing sexual misconduct allegations against Gaetz, as well as allegations of obstruction of justice, before informing Gaetz last year that it would not bring charges. Gaetz has long denied any wrongdoing related to the allegations investigated during the congressional and Justice Department probes."

Simple question, if he did all of this and it was a no brainer why did the Democrat led Justice Department not bring charges?

because merrick garland was terrified of appearing political.

Who amongst has not submitted cash payments to attractive young women for no apparent reason, other than the flag being at full mast.

Has the orange turd of Mara Pedo called this a hoax yet?

#9 | Posted by reinheitsgebot at 2024-11-21 12:12 PM

Simple answer. Merrick Garland did not bring charges because there was no evidence of a federal crime. Garland can't charge state offenses. As to the 17 year old at the sex party in Florida, the circumstances, though aborrhent, would not lead to a reasonable probability of conviction, regardless of the identity of the offender.

I could go into the reasons why, but I'm sure i would be attacked for "defending him" which I am not. He is a creep. Our criminal justice system is set up to protect creeps.

ABC News reports that the Trump team issued this warning to Republican senators considering a vote against Matt Gaetz:"

"If you are on the wrong side of the vote, you're buying yourself a primary. That is all. And there's a guy named Elon Musk who is going to finance it"

Obey Leon or else.

Venmo Gaetz is out as AG. Good riddance.

Susan Collins is concerned:

Asked Wednesday if she was concerned by the allegations, Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine said, "of course."

"I said from the beginning that I was shocked by the nomination given the many allegations," she added, "but that's why it's important that the Senate go through its process of making sure that we have a background check, that we have a Senate investigation which involves extensive interviews and questionnaires and then a public hearing."

Gaetz is out so I'll start the Liberal headline for the next candidate. "He or she is unqualified because they are a racist and a threat to Democracy. And also, they ate a plate of Beef Stroganoff when they were 6 years old so they are a Russian asset."

STFU idiot. That's not remotely close to reality.

If you wanted to make a serious, objective guess at the replacement for Gaetz, you'll say something including mentions of unqualified, incompetent, a scumbag and, above all else, unquestioningly loyal to Trump.

#27 | Posted by jpw at 2024-11-21 01:24 PM

When you lose the WH, The Senate and The House you got smoked. It shows the American people don't and haven't liked the way our government has been run by your party. No way to sugar coat it. Try harder next time.

Your ignorance is showing. Just under 22% of the US Population voted for Trump. Oh and many of the swing states Trump won by 1 percentage point or less. So no. The country didn't tell us to STFU. Please do try again.
