So, keeping score:

- Grocery prices are not going to come down
- Not balancing the budget
- Border is not going to be sealed
- The Columbia River (giant faucet) is not going to be diverted to Los Angeles
- Ukraine war is not going to end
- No tariffs on Day One
- No tariffs on China, ever

At this point, I am beginning to think that Pres Trump has realized the futility of his tariff campaign promises, and that he cannot keep those campaign promises.

Can you say, ~tail between his legs?~

I knew you could.

Once you win, election promises mean nothing unless they were well paid for.

Now MAgats will be telling us that he never said he'd impose tariffs on China.

Gee, you mean they might lift that 100% tariff on Chinese electric vehicles that lets Tesla stay in business? I think Musk might have something to say about that. If that tariff goes, then I would expect Tesla to go bankrupt.

He would "rather not" because he has business in China and pays them income tax, which he does not do in his own country.
