A federal jury convicted seven defendants today of civil rights offenses arising out of their blockade of a reproductive health care clinic in Sterling Heights, MI on 27 Aug 2020.
The seven sat or stood in front of the entrance to a clinic in Sterling Heights so that patients and employees could not enter and interfered with a couple seeking to keep an appointment to end a pregnancy after learning that a 14-week-old fetus would not survive.
A sentencing hearing will be set at a later date.
