Tale of the Tape: National Review Editor Denies Using Slur

During an interview on the Megyn Kelly Show, National Review Editor Rich Lowry stumbled over his words and then correct himself.

You know how commonly he uses it when that word follows the word "Haitian" out of his yapper. It's like they go together like peanut butter and chocolate.

The mask is off and MAGA is exposing itself for what it is, a neo-Nazi, white supremacist ideology. If we get more polls like the Morning Consult super poll showing Harris nationally up 5 and by 3 in PA and WI, Dotard will be calling Kamala the N-word at rallies. And that was taken BEFORE the debate that all the scientific polls show she won by between 20 and 30 points. It's already ugly and we're not close to bottom for the DBag with no bottom.

Rich Lowry, professional rightwing preening and pontificating punk, uses a racial slur? What. A. Sooprise.

I watched him say it.

Somewhat shocking, yet, completely expected. Gotta love the new republican party.

In a reply to the post, Andrew McCarthy, a colleague of Lowry's at the National Review, came to his defense. "Ridiculous," he wrote, "@richlowry (not tagged here, natch) obviously got crossed up between immigrants' (short i) and migrants (long i) -- started mispronouncing migrants' with short i; instantly corrected himself with no embarrassment because it was patently a mispronunciation. Geez."
It's to avoid just such misunderstandings that I refuse to pronounce Arnold Schwarzenegger's last name out loud. Although quietly whispering it to myself has resulted in some notable feedback from fellow subway riders.

The New Republican Party is the same as the Old Republican Party (at least on the monied side of the party).
Rich Racist White Folks, for Rich Racist White Folks. The rest of the GOP are just Racist White Folks.

Now cue Beverly (Eberly) to rush in falling all over himself about how that's not true
and how liberals are the haters.

"Just call 'em likes I see's 'em partner"...

I'll play with you, Muse.

What did he say? The N word?

I saw him on Bill Mahr as a guest a few weeks ago, came across as a real assh*le.

Anyway, I find it hard to believe this is a slip up.

It's either an honest mistake (but how?) or he intentially does it for a reaction. It seems he even smiles while saying it (I thought anyway).

Just weird.

Haitian nigrants, I mean migrants.

I hate to be a ------ but your tongue slipped into what you really wanted to say.

After carefully listening to the recording in a noise-free environment with studio monitor headphones, I believe he said "the sheriff is near.".

This clown's just a fuggin' idiot.

"Haitian nigrants, I mean migrants."

Why would you say such a thing? There was no word beginning with an 'n' sound muttered in the video clip.

The left should just let this one go. At worst, the guy is trolling and baiting a with new made-up word (Miggr?). Either way it will backfire on those trying to pursue this.

The rich GOP's mask used to be the Country Club,
and still mostly is. Social separation from the 'riff raff'
on the exclusive Golf Clubs, Country Clubs, Yacht Clubs, etc...
is how the GOP used to keep their plans quiet.

That is how the rich and mighty on the Right have kept their
true intentions from the public for decades (1980's until recently).

Now, however, the politicians that represent their interests are
so dumb (Magats) that they say the 'quiet part out loud' in public,
and in front of microphones. And that is, in a sense, is 'removing the mask'
for some of the younger crowd. For those of us, who have been around awhile,
and whom have been watching the evolution of the GOP since the 1980's, this comes
as little surprise.

I prefer "Hoi polloi" when referencing folks such as yourself....
