University of Florida will Continue to Pay Ben Sasse $1 million a Year

Tampa Bay Times is reporting that former Republican Senator Ben Sasse, who resigned after a 17-month stint as president of University of Florida, will be paid $1 million per year through at least 2028. Sasse, who was hired after the unusual step of being named the sole finalist for the job, tripled his office's expenditures during his short UF stay from $5.6 million to $17.3 million.
