Ethics Office Suggests Investigation Into Rep Ogles

An independent federal agency recommends the House Ethics Committee open a full-scale investigation into U.S. Rep. Andy Ogles over discrepancies in his campaign finance disclosures.

UPDATE: "House Congressional Ethics panel is recommending further investigation of Rep. Andy Ogles after finding he likely violated federal campaign finance laws, mainly by reporting an inflated personal loan to make his bid for office look stronger."

Now if this were a Democrat, the party would have refused to allow him to run for reelection, and probably would have forced him to resign. Look what happened to Al Franken, over a single photo, which did not show any actual offensive act when you consider the context of where and what was happening at the time, which was taken years before he ever ran for office. The party forced him out less he leave a 'stain' on the office of a Senator. I guess Republican members of the House are free to do whatever they want.
