INTERPOL: First Ever Silver Notice Targets Foreign Assets

INTERPOL has published its first-ever Silver Notice to help trace and recover criminal assets, combat transnational organized crime, and enhance international police cooperation.

The Silver Notice joins the above previously established alerts. Not all INTERPOL Notices are available to the general public, like the ones issued for ICC-indicted war criminals Russian President Vladimir Putin or Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

Italy requested the first ever Silver Notice to find information on the financial assets of a senior member of the Mafia. The new alert may also help locate the assets of Russian oligarchs.
