Across the country -- from small towns to big cities -- people are rising up. April 19 will be a Day of Action: a nationwide grassroots response to authoritarian threats, political overreach, and the erosion of democracy In all 50 states, local communities are taking action in their own way. Some are rallying or marching in the streets. Others are hosting food drives, teach-ins, mutual aid pop-ups, or voter registration events. Wherever and however people show up April 19, one thing is clear: This movement is growing -- and it belongs to all of us.
A national grassroots action against the Trump administration's policies is expected to unfold across 50 states and D.C. on Saturday.
The rallies are loosely organized under the 50501 movement -- which stands for "50 protests, 50 states, 1 movement."[image or embed]
