Tanker Collision in North Sea

The Monday collision between a cargo ship and an oil tanker in the North Sea "has a high risk of being an environmental disaster in really important protected areas." An exclusion zone of about half of a mile had been established around both vessels, which were no longer stuck together. Air quality in the area was reported to be normal, and there was a "very low" public health risk on nearby shores. https://assets1.cbsnewsstatic.com/hub/i/r/2025/03/10/d9ca833d-4e54-4fd3-ada6-caa65c2a06ec/thumbnail/1240x1014/91228acab0c372981f134b957d534b82/gettyimages-2203836687.jpg?v=066dbb4b2d59b81da3e12f1cdf8a1b39
