China May Just Leave the USA as an Isolated Island

If China simply ignores intellectual property rights, do they even need the US anymore? With much cheaper product available from the Chinese, will the world even need the US anymore? I think the Chinese may be playing chess, while Trump plays tic-tac-toe.
