Pakistan Claims That India About to Launch Military Attack

Pakistan's information minister says that the country has "credible intelligence" that India intends to launch a military strike within the next 24 to 36 hours. Attaullah Tarar's comments come after India accused Pakistan of supporting militants behind an attack in Indian-administered Kashmir that killed 26 tourists last week. Islamabad rejects the allegations. India and Pakistan both have nuclear arsenals.

Democrat Wins Bigly in Iowa Special Election

"Angel Ramirez (D) turned in the biggest overperformance by a Democrat in a special election this year with her victory last night, winning Iowa's vacant 78th House district in a 79% to 21% landslide," The Downballot reports.

"Last year, Kamala Harris carried the district, based in the Cedar Rapids area, by an already considerable 66% to 33% margin. That means Ramirez's showing represents a 26-point improvement on last year's presidential results."
