How to race bait; when the question isnt asked

For one thing, it felt like baseball never needed me, to say nothing of wanting my presence. For two, I couldn't practice it alone the way I could basketball. Not to mention, the truth that I never saw baseball players as aspirational"that far as I could tell, they failed to transcend their game, or even their teams, to become stars in the culture.

Comments

This "opinion" piece is a classic example of looking for racism where it doesn't exist.

Notice the article is trying very hard to find an excuse to say baseball is excluding blacks. It feels wrong. This whole article feels wrong.

And more and more, blacks are tiring of it.

If you find a statistic about race disparity, the most important thing to do is not talk about it or think about it in any way. Or even better, attack the person who brought up race in the first place. /s

He's got a point.

70% of NBA players are black, despite the fact that black people represent about 12% of the total US population.

Racism?

^^^ the ONLY truly meritocracy in the USA.

Everything else is race based.

BTW, you want in.

Every off season walkon season occurs.

If you got it show it.

Re: #5

Racism? No. A historically marginalized demographic seems to have good inroads programs in place for basketball, while it seems to be lacking in baseball.

Some white chocolates are successful. Others make excuses.

You gotta respect Jason Williams and Kurt rambis.

My personal favs.

Re: #9

No love for Larry Legend or John Stockton? I'd have those two in my all-time starting lineup along with Shaq, Michael and Magic, but I'm biased toward that era of bball

Imo, MY OPINION. Larry bird suffers from the same thing Caitlin Clark does.

An unreasonable and pointed press with an agenda which is transparent as hell.

His stats do stand up though but I could never be for anyone so unilaterally "protected". Just the way I'm built.

Sorry.

Sort of like rooting for the "teachers pet".

We all know what we thought of the teachers pet.
