The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) infographic is designed to promote the need for the Golden Dome aerospace defense system. The graphic displays the primary ICBM threats to the US: China with 400, rising to 700 by 2035 and Russia with 350, rising to 400 by 2035. North Korea possesses ten ICBMs, but will have 50 by 2035 while Iran has none today but could have up to 60 ICBMs in ten years. Iran is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), but Israel, North Korea, Pakistan, and India are not. The Golden Dome missile shield is set to receive $24.7 billion to kick off the initiative to tie together existing programs with newly developed technology. NORAD advises that Canada's participation in the missile defense system is limited to research involving the detection of incoming threats. Elon Musk's SpaceX company appears to be the front-runner to win a major contract in building the multi-billion dollar Golden Dome system. Sources: Link One Link Two
Hi Doc: To pay for all this, these people will have to suffer: mediaproxy.salon.com
This is the same USCP department that defended the Nation on 6 Jan 2021 from lunatics, now dragging out disabled and elderly Medicaid patients from the "people's house."
We may starve or die from medical neglect, but at least we'll be safe from nuclear Armageddon.
Good Morning Doc: You know that unfortunately our system is based on mythology and imagery, a Potemkin Village of might and prosperity.
I knew some people who immigrated to the US from post-WWII Europe, like thousands and thousands of other refugees. When many of them voted in the US for the first time in 1952 or 1956, they told me they all voted for "Ike" because he beat the Third Reich and simply because of automatic name recognition. These new Americans didn't know a thing about Adlai Stevenson or ever read John Steinbeck. So, the Republicans picked up an army of voters from these newly naturalized citizens. Years ago when I knew them, I asked why they voted GOP: "Because Republicans are tougher on the Commies than the Democrats." images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com
Decades later, those same folks (most of them are gone now) came to regret voting Republican after they aged and lost their health. These vulnerable elderly people became dependent on social security, Medicare, etc-- programs which are constantly imperiled by the Republicans.
They learned too late.
