Man and Nature: “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”

  • An Eastland Texas man mowing his lawn angered a beehive which swarmed him. Steven William Daniel (66) ran into his truck for safety and drove away, but the drones pursued him and kept stinging the victim who died later from circulatory shock. On 9 May, a swarm of Africanized honey bees (AKA killer bees), attacked and killed three horses in Comanche, TX just about 50 miles away. That attack involved millions of bees that also attacked the owner of the horses.
  • In Florida, Hung Trinh (54) was arrested for shooting his neighbor's pregnant cow several times after she wandered onto his property, making good on his threat to shoot any animals that entered. A veterinarian was unable to save the suffering animal and euthanized her. The lunatic was charged with animal cruelty and grand theft of a commercial farm animal.

    In Coral Springs, FL, wildlife officials responded to the report of this headless and tailless alligator corpse below which was apparently the victim of either illegal poaching or harvesting.     I've been known to have words with people who feed alligators, especially those standing next to sign telling them not to.

    The problem is that once a gator gets feed by humans, they expect it from the next one that comes along, and have been known to get really pissed when it doesn't happen.

    This looks like some Florida Man (or Woman!) took a trophy head for their wall... next to the Talking Bigmouth Bass.

    And thanks to the Trump junta, this summer Mother Nature will exact her vengeance on America with heat-related deaths, flood victims, and rampant diseases. These calamities will affect mostly Red States, but Blue State California is vulnerable to the imminent drought and wildfire season. The Dotard's brilliant move of draining California's reservoirs in late Jan/early Feb is for the history books.

    Gut arbet, Republican voters for electing and adoring an imbecile who gutted FEMA, NOAA, NWS, FWS, USPS, and the FAA; an idiot who appointed RFK Jr to be HHS Secretary. The Grim Reaper will be busy this year.
