Rep. Mike Collins to Retirees: “Get Off Social Security”

  • Rep. Mike Collins (R), who is reportedly weighing a run for US Senate, said he wants to make it "more advantageous" for people to "get off of Medicaid, get off of Social Security," in an interview on XTRA 106.3. This idiotic, Henry F. Potter-like comment comes after Collins voted for the GOP budget bill that could leave 750,000 of his fellow Georgians uninsured, unlike him with the platinum healthcare benefits he receives as a Congressman. Twitter
  • On 6 Jan 2025, Mike Collins celebrated the anniversary of the terrorist attack on the US Capitol by posting, "On this day in 2021, thousands of peaceful grandmothers took a self-guided tour of the Capitol."

  • More

More and more elderly people in America are already working menial jobs just to make ends meet, enjoying their 'Golden Years' under the 'Golden Arches.' Republican Mike Collins would have senior citizens work until they're 95 if he could.

The Trumpf junta and Republicans are demonstrably increasing anxiety levels across the country. But hey, "they took the country back," only to hand the reins of their mastery and misery to white oligarchs who simply want to feudalize and pauperize them.

Better apply for social security PDQ before we lose that too: drudge.com

    Gut arbet, MAGAts!

Why would I want to "get off" something I PAID FOR?

#5 The winner take all no proportional representation two party system. That how you get ------------- stupid enough to vote for this.

Half the country is totally unrepresented at any given time.

Then the choices offered are only representing the top .01%.

There's no one to vote for that's worth a ---- on either side.

    All roads lead to OLIGARCHY.

    This tension Creates Monsters.

    you are an illiterate dope.

you're not paying for it if you're still working.

You're subsiding other people's SS because starting with LBJ

and his great society fubr the gvt has been stealing what you

put in as soon as it hits the IRS.

you're hoping there's people paying for it so you'll

get it....which is why Vance or someone called it a ponzie scheme

because that's just what it is without a major overhaul.

Social Security Trust Fund dollars have been invested in the United States. Given that the United States can literally PRINT money, what safer investment can there be? The only real threat to Social Security is a president ---- bent on tearing down the US thereby wrecking its economy and international standing.

MAGAts are to blinded by hate, which, when coupled with stupidity, makes it nearly impossible for them to realize that they are being used and will be victimized just like everyone else. Trump and republicans will do nothing to improve the lives of MAGAts; that will take money and time. However, he can make them "feel better" by fighting the culture war.
