America did eventually pay back France. I believe America would eventually recoup the costs of their investments in Ukraine. Not only that the damage we are inflicting in real time on Russia and the Russian economy and the strengthening of our alliances is priceless.

"Investing in Ukraine" is a euphemism for pumping money in to US defense contractors. Ukraine spending bills were predominately for replenishment of US equipment. We send them some 1980-1988 models of Bradleys and order new ones from BAE to keep our stockpile around 4500 units.

Well there you go. Let Russia keep some of what they took and give some of it back to Ukraine and be done with it. And hopefully Putin gets taken out by someone in his own country.

That 63% is likely due to Pres Trump's stopping of arms to Ukraine, allowing Pres Putin to make some gains in his unprovoked invasion of a sovereign Ukraine.

The land swap your current alias mentions is only part, of many, of the solution.

Another part is future security of Ukraine. But Pres Trump has already given that up to Pres Putin when he said that he will not let Ukraine join NATO.

So, it looks like Pres Trump may be just setting Ukraine up for another unprovoked invasion by Pres Putin down the road.
