Trump posted an AI image on Truth Social which portrayed him as Lt. Col. Bill Kilgore from the movie "Apocalypse Now."
But whereas the fictional Kilgore said that he loved the smell of napalm in the morning, Trump's version said "I love the smell of deportations in the morning."
The image also included "Chipocalypse", as a reference to Trump's intention on having the military enter Chicago.
On the image was also 3 helicopter emojis, and this was not by accident.
"Crime crackdowns: The president is continuing to tease more federal action on crime in American cities, mulling on social media "Who's Next???"
Trump previously said a decision on a crime crackdown in Chicago would come in the "next day or two."
Meanwhile, Trump also decried the fatal stabbing of a Ukrainian refugee in North Carolina, adding that his administration will not tolerate violent crime and vowing "to get to the end of it."
Trump's approval rating:
Trump remains broadly underwater on his approval rating as two new polls find widespread opposition to his use of the National Guard against crime in American cities.
More people see Trump's deployment of the National Guard as a purely political move than as one designed to reduce crime."
