Vets Call on ARNG Soldiers to Become Conscientious Objectors

Some veterans view National Guard deployments to US cities as unlawful. They argue that soldiers better uphold American values by resisting the controversial orders. About Face: Veterans Against the War was formed to stop "militarism and endless wars" and is slamming the Trumpf junta's efforts to use the military to police Americans by urging soldiers to resist being deployed. "We're trying to rebuild the GI resistance movement," said veteran Aaron Hughes, referring to the sweeping efforts veterans and service members made to end the Vietnam War. "We don't want our brothers and sisters participating in this authoritarian adventurism." Soldiers have at least one path to resist orders to deploy. Conscientious objectors are Americans who won't fight on the basis of moral or religious grounds. But conscientious objection is a narrowly defined status that can be difficult to claim because a soldier must object to all conflicts in order to qualify, not just a single deployment.

The sinister Trumpf junta is unwilling to allow dissent in the ranks as we have seen with their Stalinist purges. At a recent gathering of generals, the most under-qualified man to ever lead the DOD, dipsomaniac misogynist racist Pete "Hic!" Hegseth lambasted the alleged "decades of decay" at the Pentagon and shrilled that new measures would weed out political correctness in the US military. "If the words I'm speaking today are making your heart sink," Hegseth bleated to 800 bored and annoyed generals and admirals, "then you should do the honorable thing and resign." And the most honorable deed this miscreant who reportedly sexually assaulted a woman at a Monterrey CA hotel on 8 Oct 2017, and who wasted billions of American taxpayer dollars killing Houthis and Venezuelans during his short wretched tenure, is for him to immediately resign in disgrace. Nota Bene: On 28 April 1967 (immediately preceding the "Summer of Love"), out of principle Muhammad Ali famously stood up to the US Army as a conscientious objector at terrible cost to his storied career. Years later the "Greatest" quipped that he was "the Elvis Presley of boxing," an American that Muhammad Ali greatly admired.

I think this is a good idea.

Going to take bravery, though.

Welcome to the Sixties, y'all.

Without any of the fun.

The Troops won't do it. They love Trump.

Disobedience is not nice, Trump won't approve. It's a good way to get in trouble.

The Civil Rights of Strangers are less important than no problems at Work or legal difficulties.

Expecting normal everyday people to be Heroes is not gonna make it.

They rarely are.

Where were the heroes in Germany before the military Defeat?

.....??

After the Defeat everyone claimed to be against Hitler.

Same thing this time.

As long as Trump is on top expect nothing Good, after he's Gone Nobody will admit to liking him at all.

Just like the NAZIS.
