U.S. Treasury May Put Trump on $1 Coin

The Treasury Department is designing a one-dollar coin featuring Donald Trump under the dubious premise that it honors the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence next year. The draft design from the Office of the U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach shows Trump on both sides. On the back he's shown with a clenched fist in front of an American flag next to the text "Fight, fight, fight."

There are laws in place passed by Congress to restrict the Treasury from putting living people on coins or currency.

The dictator Saddam Hussein put images of himself on Iraqi currency in military dress or a suit in heroic poses.

It's almost like this country went stark raving mad put a pompous, narcissistic Reality TV Show Host in the f'n White House!

And then he hired Fox News to run the Military and the Economy!

This would have made a great Christopher Moore comic novel... but totally unbelievable.

(shameless plug, I just finished Animus Rising, and I haven't actually laughed out loud so much reading a novel in a long time)

It's illegal. A living person can not be on us coins or paper currency. Oh and you have to be dead 2 years before you get any consideration.

It's illegal.

And that matters why?

True... there's Trump 2028 hats for sale already at his White House Gift Shop... or somewhere.

Because its a commemorative coin, not mean for circulation, so the law apparently doesn't apply. The Mint does not traditionally strike coins for circulation. Commemorative coins are considered numismatic products, and are intended for collection. Commemorative coins are legal tender, and must be ordered directly from the Mint.

I don't agree the assassination was staged but they sure took advantage of it, and turned it into a photo op.

Given that Trump lies 99% of the time I can see why people think it's fake.

... not mean[sic] for circulation ...

Irrelevant under the statute linked at 8. The question under that statute is whether the coin is "currency" i.e. can you take it to a bank and exchange it for dollar bill.

The next question is whether the coins are "(Sec. 3)... emblematic of the U.S. semiquincentennial." www.congress.gov IMO, the Buffoon's mug ain't.

#1: Hi Doc Sarvis: I may buy a couple of those coins if my ever-loving wife gives me some pin money.

What a remarkable twist of fate that America under the Trumpf junta celebrates the 250th anniversary of the US Army and the Nation, and will host 2026 FIFA, as well as the 2028 Olympiad. Look at all the Pomp and Glory, and lucrative contracts, that the GOP, the Trumpf Crime Family (TCF), and the oligarchs will benefit from.

One wonders if Kamala Harris is asking herself today: What could I have said or done better to win on 5 Nov 2024? images.theconversation.com

The worst Director of the FBI also presented illegal #3D printed firearms to the New Zealand government this summer. Kash Prattle flew all the way to New Zealand to open up an FBI LEGATT office there. Ho-hum. But we hardworking American taxpayers are happy to subsidize his vacations and jaunts, like we do for JD Vance and Dummkopf Trumpf, right? apnews.com

And with these absurd challenge coins, Kashyap "I'll Have a Butter Chicken" Patel is intimating that the FBI is a "death squad," not a law-enforcement agency that is supposed to embody Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity.

KASHYAP PRAMOD PATEL IS A PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING.

I think that Donald Trump, as Emperor of the United States, and its next god, should have of course have his image on a coin. Gold, right?

Trump's vainglorious exploitation of the "assassination attempt" is really just additional evidence that the "attempt" was planned.

Once Trump is dead, you'll see endless illusionists recreate what happened in Butler, and show exactly how it was done.

That bystanders were killed isn't evidence of anything.

How many anonymous people has Trump murdered while pretending after the fact that they were narco-terrorists?

The Epstein Files have become the new Mueller Report, it seems.
