Sycophantic Legacy Media Getting Unbearable

Speaker Mike Johnson insists he cannot be swayed on the subject of the government shutdown.

Three weeks after the government officially shut down and almost a month since the House took its last vote, Johnson (R-Louisiana) remains resolute in his decision to halt all House business. He has been adamant that he will not bring his lawmakers back into session until the Senate passes the House's proposal to fund the government. Time has only emboldened " and angered " him.

Comments

"I don't like being mad Mike. I want to be happy Mike. I want to be a happy warrior but I'm so upset about this," Johnson said Thursday morning, uncharacteristically pausing mid sentence, seemingly to control his anger.

What a pile of ridiculous s*&^.

I guess the Washington Post is now entirely complicit with the regime's performance theater.

F*&^ you Bezos.

If this was anything other than political gamemanship, the senate has long had the ability to end the government shutdown at any time they desired. All that needs happen is for the Republicans to use the nuclear option to end it. It would remove the 60 vote requirement down to 50 votes.

This tells you it is nothing more than another way to extend the cruelty that has marked this administration while it seeks to establish a reason to give Trump his excuse to use the insurrection act at best or martial law at worst.

When viewed with this in mind, it reveals all the lying the Republicans are doing to keep things right where they are.

Johnson will not call the house back until they can manage some way to get around having to face the Epstein vote.

" I guess the Washington Post is now entirely complicit with the regime's performance theater."

The only thing that's funny is your complete lack of principles, morals, values, ideals, character, integrity...

What's funny is you acting like WaPo is anything other than a propaganda outlet for the left. You find one example of them doing the opposite and then act like it's a microcosm.

It's SO disingenuous. Be better.

Probably be less damage if it lasted his whole administration.

Mike Johnson is exactly what he appears to be in the arena of public affairs:
A feckless puppet with strings Trump and his minions laughingly tug on at will.
He is, in other words, the perfect human-ish face of today's Trumpflunkies, i.e. the GOP.
