Speaker Mike Johnson insists he cannot be swayed on the subject of the government shutdown. Three weeks after the government officially shut down and almost a month since the House took its last vote, Johnson (R-Louisiana) remains resolute in his decision to halt all House business. He has been adamant that he will not bring his lawmakers back into session until the Senate passes the House's proposal to fund the government. Time has only emboldened " and angered " him. |
