An analysis of footage from three camera angles show that the vehicle appears to be turning away from a federal officer as he opened fire.
Video analysis clearly contradicts what Noem and Trump claim about the killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. By @devonlum.bsky.social @robinsteinnyt.bsky.social Ainara Tiefenthaler Courtney Brooks for @nytimes.com www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQCv ... [image or embed]

ICE agent was not in the vehicle's path when he fired at driver, video shows
www.washingtonpost.com
... In the aftermath, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi L. Noem said the woman had committed an act of "domestic terrorism," first disobeying officers' commands and then weaponizing her SUV by attempting to "run a law enforcement officer over."
President Donald Trump said the woman "violently, willfully and viciously ran over the ICE officer." ...
This is again an example of not telling the whole story. Purely propaganda on the initial image.
The wheels spin as she slams on the gas, then begins turning the wheels
The officer pulls his weapon not knowing where the wheels are turning or not.
Fires shots, one hits the front windshield the other hits the rear view mirror.
I know you don't care about officers unless they can be used for political gamemanship (J6) but here is a body cam of something similar.
Her intent isn't known.
For reference:
This is bodycam video of Baltimore police officer Amy Caprio, who was ran over and killed in a similar situation to the Minneapolis ICE shooting

An event can be both legally justifiable and avoidable.
This stupid ---- show by Trump and Noem is actually hurting immigration enforcement in the long run.
You can't be against illegal immigration, but for keeping them in the country, otherwise its really not a defensible position.
ICE agent was not in the vehicle's path when he fired at driver, video shows
He was literally hit and unsure of where she was going.

These are split second decisions, in retrospect perhaps avoidable, but as stated legally justified.
Kash Patel is preventing local law enforcement from interviewing witnesses.
The cover-up begins now.
What makes you think there will be a trial?

That depends entirely on the People.
If we don't stop this now read post 28 carefully.
It's not a threat. It's not a promise. It's just human nature.
It's just what could happen. If we keep going down this road.
But I can see you are not convinced and that this is the kind of world you wish us all to live in.
My advice for everyone else is to prepare for the worst. But hope for the best.
I am ready. I am prepared. And I am even still hopeful.
But to me it looks just like we are in for a stretch of BATTLE AFTER BATTLE

Video analysis clearly contradicts what Noem and Trump (and the -------- here) claim about the killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.
Good luck denying what's clearly shown there.
@#14 ... How did these people become Super Citizens above any accountability?
Qualified Immunity. That's how. ...
It is worse than that, imo.
Inside ICE's superpowers
www.axios.com
...
The images of masked, heavily armed immigration agents snatching people off the streets and taking them away in unmarked cars have shocked many Americans -- and led to a simple question: Is all of this legal?
It is -- at least for now.
Why it matters: Since Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was created after the 9/11 attacks, its agents have operated with vastly more enforcement power, less transparency and fewer guardrails than local police. ...
Zoom in: Under Trump, critics say, ICE has become the closest thing the U.S. has to a secret police force.
ICE agents aren't required to wear body cameras, can cover their faces, don't have to provide badge numbers or identify themselves, can arrive in unmarked cars and don't need a warrant from a judge to detain someone. ...
ICE doesn't have to collect evidence for cases and has few parameters around its use of force. ...
BBC did an excellent breakdown of the video of the murder.
Did they include this video?

If not you're looking a a narrative.
Hell the BBC is so biased it won't even cover the Iranian revolution.
#81 As is this video:
Video analysis clearly contradicts what Noem and Trump (and the ballwashers here) claim about the killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.Good luck to anyone denying what's clearly shown there.
#82 A blurry, incomprehensible, 8 second video ? ? ? ?
100% whoops:

ICE Agent Jonathan Ross "got even" for this incident it seems: www.dhs.gov
"The ICE officer was hospitalized and is expected to make a full recovery."
Jonathan Ross certainly did make a full recovery.
#90 You're 100% correct, Zed.
Here's a sync'd video of that 8 seconds, which completely demolishes their "story"
And yes, onepigironheadedsmoothbrainaut, your precious, blurry, incomprehensible, 8 second video is included... and thoroughly destroyed.
Are you brave enough to admit you're wrong?

#101 Gal, here's the complete story:

#133 Scott Jennings is the designated --- thrower on CNN.
He's hardly "interesting."
He's feeding you the crap you want to hear, not the truth.
He's excusing an ICE murder by blaming legitimate concerns and criticism raised by others.
He's giving you cover for blaming the victim, not the murderer.
But if you're so intent on blaming eliminationist language for what happened yesterday, how about this:
Trump made statements condoning and encouraging violence throughout his presidency. Now, if you're not a coward, watch this and learn some truth.
July 2017: During a speech to law enforcement officers in Long Island, New York, Trump seemingly encouraged police officers to be rough with people they were arresting, per ABC News. "Please don't be too nice," he told the audience.
August 2017: In the aftermath of the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, Trump failed to unequivocally condemn the violence and said "many sides" were to blame, failing to distinguish between those who participated in the "Unite the Right" rally and those who showed up in opposition to it.
October 2018: While speaking at a Montana campaign rally, Trump publicly praised Montana's then-Rep. Greg Gianforte (R) " the state's current governor " for previously assaulting a reporter. "Any guy that can do a body slam, he is my type!" Trump said.
October 2019: A New York Times report outlined various strategies Trump had allegedly deliberated to keep migrants away from the U.S. southern border, including a water-filled trench with snakes or alligators and shooting migrants in the legs to slow them down.
May 2020: Trump used violent rhetoric when referring to protests in Minneapolis in the wake of George Floyd's killing, tweeting, "when the looting starts, the shooting starts." The phrase has a racist history going back to police brutality against Black Americans in the 1960s, per the New York Times.
June 2020: Trump threatened to use the U.S. military to quell Black Lives Matter protests across the country. "If a city or state refuses to take the actions necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them," Trump said.
August 2020: Trump expressed interest in sending the National Guard to Portland, Oregon, to confront protesters, per Vox. "We could fix Portland in, I would say, 45 minutes," Trump said.
#146 What's to refute beyond what I posted, bell boi?
He's feeding you the crap you want to hear, not the truth.I take it that you're a coward who refuses to watch the truth.
He's excusing an ICE murder by blaming legitimate concerns and criticism raised by others.
He's giving you cover for blaming the victim, not the murderer.
Might make you uncomfortable.
Or are you waiting for Scott Jennings to tell you what to think?
#150 Actually, Joe nailed it right on the head, bell boi.
You 100% bought into Scott Jennings "argument" that "if you say ICE is bad they will stand in front of your car and kill you."
That's the logical conclusion.
Now, I take it that you're a coward who refuses to watch the truth.
#151 Scott Jennings said (on the Space Nazi's Nazi Bar): "What happens when a political party spends a YEAR radicalizing their base against ICE agents with increasingly unhinged rhetoric?"
Yep.
Joe nailed it.
"if you say ICE is bad they will stand in front of your car and kill you."
Scott Jennings (and you) are blaming eliminationist language for what happened yesterday.
And, as I said:
He's feeding you the crap you want to hear, not the truth.WTF happened to the so-called "party of personal responsibility"?
He's excusing an ICE murder by blaming legitimate concerns and criticism raised by others.
He's giving you cover for blaming the victim, not the murderer.
Now, when are you going to put on your big boy pants and actually learn something ? ? ? ?
#155 When are you going to put on your big boy pants and actually learn something, bell boi ? ? ? ?
Or are you just the coward you parade around here day in and day out?
#155 You still haven't watched this video, bell boi.
And, ---, are you demanding when you think you are entitled to something, bell boi.
