Interesting storm... it's barely moving today.

@#2 ... nteresting storm... it's barely moving today. ...

The usual steering winds do not seem to be present. So Melissa looks to just wander about its current area.

For days.

I hope drainage systems are working in that area ...

This thing clobbering Florida while the government is shut down would be poetic.

@#3 ... Potential Cat 3 ...

Wind shear seems to have dropped.

Now forecast to reach Cat 4 strength, though still not moving all that quickly.

When it does start moving, current forecasts indicate it will go out to sea, towards Bermuda, after it wreaks havoc with the Caribbean area.

Bif whoop! - in the 11 1/2 + years anchored in Boot Key Harbor, Marathon FL Keys, about 100 yards from when I would dinghy to shore {Dockside Marina & Bar}, weathered many tropical storms while staying aboard. Only thing that was a pain was bailing out the dinghy numerous times due to the heavy rains.

@#9 ... weathered many tropical storms while staying aboard ...

How many Cat 4 storms have you weathered?

How many Cat 4 storms have you weathered?

Making for open water NE hopefully.

Yup. Lewzer best send some paper towels to Jamaica, though.

Might get up to Cat 5.
