**** NATIONWIDE SPINACH RECALL (LISTERIA) ****

The FDA informs: Sno Pac Foods is recalling its Del Mar 35-pound Bulk Organic Frozen Spinach and Sno Pac 10-ounce Organic Frozen Cut Spinach because of possible listeria monocytogenes contamination. No illnesses have been reported to the Caledonia, Minnesota-based company in connection with the recalled spinach, which was sold in retail stores nationwide: FDA.gov.

Production of the affected spinach has been suspended while the company investigates.

Listeria infections can cause serious illness, particularly in older adults, people with weakened immune systems and those who are pregnant or their newborns. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions.

Turkish people say "and how" like this: "Iyi hamdi nasil," pronounced "Ee Hahm-dee Nas-ill."

In a country like the US that doesn't have universal healthcare as enjoyed in Germany, Canada, the UK, France, or Sweden, sickness and disease can be extremely costly to the patient. Look what's going on during the Republican Party federal government shutdown-- the party that doesn't want Americans to have affordable, never mind universal, healthcare:
