American Pessimism Soars

In a bitterly divided country, pessimism and cynicism reign supreme: Two-thirds of Americans say it is at least probably true that the government often deliberately lies to the people.

Layoffs accelerate as Trump economy flashes red warning signs

Several major US corporations in the last month have announced plans to cut thousands of workers as layoffs in the American economy have reached their highest level since 2020, when much of the global economy was shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Trump's disapproval rating reaches uncharted high in new poll as Americans fear for state of the country according to a new poll released Monday.

Trump's disapproval rating hit 63%, the highest of either of his two terms, according to the CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

The president's previous highest disapproval rating in the CNN poll was 62%, which was recorded when Trump left office in January 2021, shortly after the insurrection at the Capitol.

Trump's approval rating in the latest poll was recorded at 37%, matching the lowest of his second term.

At this point in his first term, Trump's approval rating stood at 36%."

Trump's approval rating will never be below 33 percent.

The problem is about half of that 33 percent never showed up to the polls until that smartass black guy with a white mother from Kansas ran for president.

Getting that segment of the voting populace back in the hollows is going to take awhile.
