Family Sues after Finding Swastika-Tiled Floor under Rug

Daniel and Lynn Rae Wentworth said they found the symbols when their nephew lifted up a rug in the basement of a home they bought from Juergen M. Steinmetz. They're suing Steinmetz, saying he violated Real Estate Seller Disclosure Law and committed fraudulent and negligent misrepresentation by covering up the offensive symbols.

Under Pennsylvania law, sellers in real estate transactions have a duty to disclose all "material defects," such as a leaky roof, present within the property they intend on selling.

The Wentworths argued the Nazi symbols were material defects and they wouldn't have bought the home if they knew about them.
