Trump’s Tariffs on Canada Destroying Michigan’s Economy

Donald Trump's tariffs on Canada are devastating Michigan's economy: Food prices have risen 3.6%, the cost of a new home rose an average of $10,900, 6,300 manufacturing jobs have disappeared, and the unemployment rate is 5%, all exacerbating a homelessness crisis in Michigan.

Dummkopf Trumpf's idiotic tariffs on Canada have badly damaged Michigan's farming sector. Canada was the Wolverine State's primary export market. Now its wheat exports are down 89% and cherry exports are down 62%. Soybeans, mostly destined for China, are down 46%.

~snip~

When Canada PM Mark Carney, a PhD and former chief banker, assumed office he immediately began Trumpf-proofing the Canadian economy and military arrangements by joining Re-Arm Europe, a method of defending Europe by by-passing NATO and Trumpf's subterfuges. Trumpf's tariffs are hurting Americans more than Canadians.

On Tuesday 5 Nov 2024, 2,816,636 Michiganders (49.73% of the popular vote) elected a geriatric selfish draft-dodging pedophile who never worked a day in his life to be their president.

Michigan has open races for governor and one senate seat, alongside 13 Congressional seats and statewide offices on Tuesday 3 Nov 2026.

Stupidest. President. Ever.

You can make a statement "Trump's [insert any policy] on [insert any topic] is destroying [any downstream parameter]."

Because he's an idiot who isn't doing things in good faith or with any level of competency.

Can we please stop acting as if something dying after Trump touches it is newsworthy?

On this specific topic, though, this is just more evidence that SCOTUS is being negligent and are derelict in their duty to the United States by delaying their tariff decision.

Probably because they're selling us down the river again and ruling contrary to the Constitution and existing case law.
