The Bottom Could be Falling Out in Trump's Polls

It was almost exactly this time 20 years ago that the bottom began to fall out on George W. Bush's approval ratings. And as Bush's numbers in most polls fell into the 30s for the first time in late winter and early spring, the culprit was clear: the Iraq war.

This is really something. Fox News poll finds a solid majority of voters say Trump lacks the mental soundness to be president.

This makes Trump eats his liver. There are some grand narcissistic rages coming up. That smelly old man screaming at the clouds is Donald.

The fact that he has any approval rating left is just shining the blacklight on the bedsheets of motel America.

It was a wave election that year. Democrats flipped 8 seats in the senate and 21 in the House in Nov 2008. Dems ended up with about an 80 seat advantage in the House and a veto-proof majority in the Senate.

George "Dubya" Bush's Global War on Islam (GWOT) and bombing countries never really stopped, did it?

The only POTUS who never ordered one bombing or airstrike?

Jimmy Carter.

No shots were fired under his watch, which is what he was most proud of.

Polls mean something only when the politician involved is running for office, and that there will be an election. At this point, that's not entirely certain. In the meantime, Trump could be fellated by some MAGA-Momma in a red hat, on Fifth Avenue and no one would care...

Polls are existential for Trump. Bad polls may turn him into Donald the Coward, the pathetic creature who simply shrinks away, or into Donald the Destroyer, whose narcissistic rage tempts him into doing some very, very bad things.

Also transcripts show that he never intentionally lied to the American public, which was one of his pledges going in.

Strange how the evangelical Reaganites tossed out the only born-again president. Almost like they had something to hide.

It used to be that leaders that found themselves at the bottom of some polls would shortly find themselves at the top of other, more exacting poles.

How about Trump's economic net approval rating among independents? Look at this trendline. Look at this trendline. Back in term number one at this point, he was breaking even, zero points. Not too great, but not too bad either.

In January of 2025, he was at plus one point. Look at this independent number. I mean, I'm just, I don't even know what the words are for it. Negative 55 points?! That's a nearly 60-point drop.

Speaking of polls, and government:

Trumps polling may be down, but not as far down as the congress's....

"According to a new Gallup poll, only one in ten Americans approves of the job Congress is doing, while a staggering 86% disapprove " the highest level ever recorded."

#16 You forgot the part where in the same poll, Democrats are +6 over Republicans in the generic Congressional poll.

See you in November!

The Republican Congress is polling worse than Trump, and that's a good thing?

Does MSG know why they posted that comment, or were they simply posting something they didn't understand?
