A directive from the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) ordered the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to rescind $602 million in funding from four Democratic-led states: Colorado, Illinois, California, and Minnesota, along with $943 million by the Transportation Department.

Yesterday, in a blatantly partisan move, the White House instructed the US DOT & the CDC to cut $1.5 b in grants, exclusively in Blue states. The grants appear to be being cut because they support poor neighborhoods, non-English speakers, queer people, or efforts to combat climate change.

The CDC funds would have gone toward state and local health grants that the sinister Dummkopf Trumpf junta feels are too "woke."
A junta apparatchik at OMB bleated that the rescissions are punishing "states fraught with waste and mismanagement."
These rescinded funds include:
~$3 million to Colorado to address COVID-19 disparities among racial and ethnic minority groups
~$5.2 million to Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago for increasing HIV PrEP use among Black cisgender women
~$500,000 to the University of California for evaluating state-level laws to prevent sexual and intimate partner violence among gender and sexual minorities.

JAMA reports funding cuts to the CDC will lead to sicker Americans and a rise in deaths, particularly in areas like HIV prevention and sexually transmitted infections. These cuts will affect Republicans living in those Red States, something Dummkopf Trumpf obviously didn't consider, like truck drivers and police officers using the roads and highways. Moreover, the geriatric pedophilic draft-dodging oligarch did not consider that diseases and viruses do not discriminate between Republican or Democratic victims. Later this month, Dummkopf Trumpf will be hosting the annual meeting of the National Governor's Association, but he is disinviting Democratic governors. Technically, that would not constitute the annual meeting of the NGA as this is a bipartisan organization.
In a country like the US without universal healthcare for all its residents like found in Israel, Canada, Germany, Taiwan, or the UK, these draconian cuts by the diabolical Trumpf junta will be costly and fatal for many, many Americans from both political parties.
