Trump TACOs on Steel, Aluminum Tariffs

Donald Trump is quietly gearing up to roll back some of the tariffs he promised would make the country "rich as hell" as his approval rating plummets amid an affordability crisis.

You can see why the White House would want to TACO their metal tariffs. ".. aluminum in America has surged to a record high well above $5,000 per metric ton .. The impact would be soon felt on anything made with aluminum -- including beer cans." @bloomberg.com

The TACO thing was clever for half a second. It stopped being impressive a long time ago. But go on and keep regurgitating old things, like a bot.

@#2 ... It stopped being impressive a long time ago. ...

Why?

Because it may be an accurate appellation?

In this particular instance, with steel and aluminum tariffs, TACO seems to be quite an appropriate description of what Pres Trump has done.

He blustered (a.k.a., spewed BS).

His blustering embarrassingly failed.

He retreated.

Not the first time we have seen that behavior from Pres Trump.

headline in an alternate universe.

that's the one devoid of 2 faced hypocrites.

"democrat potus compromises on tariffs."

Any Trump failure is good for America.

"Not the first time we have seen that behavior from Pres Trump."

And yet you act like you don't know why he's actually doing it. It's pretty obvious from the chart. Everything is transactional with Trump.

But hey, let's make a (un)funny joke about it to trivialize it and repeat it ad nauseum.

And give tacos an unpleasant association in the process. :(
