President Trump said Thursday the U.S. is committing $10 billion to the Board of Peace, the forum that was created to reconstruct the Gaza Strip but that the president wants to see broadened to tackle other foreign conflicts.
Money for Gaza will go to a dedicated fund housed at the World Bank, called the Gaza Reconstruction and Development Fund, said World Bank President Ajay Banga.
The Board of Peace " chaired by Trump, who appears to have the ultimate decision making power " directs where the money is dispersed.
