I don't support abolishing it, at all.
What I do support is scrapping it and rebuilding it to do what what it was intended for, stricter control AT THE BORDER AND PORTS OF ENTRY.

Yep. It needs to go. And every one of those thugs needs to be prosecuted.

At this point, we're going need a new agency, one dedicated to tracking down everyone Mango Mussolini deported and offering them a free flight back to the US and automatic citizenship if they want it.

Then open the borders.

ICE and related bodies will have their missions and scope of operation greatly reduced once their is comprehensive immigration reform, a pathway to citizenship and a real, robust guest worker program--all of which are greatly needed in the US. Given the cowardly nature of many pols these days, such will occur shortly after Der Dotard receives his Nobel Peace Price, or his FIFA War Prize...

change abolish to overhaul and watch the number spike more.

We do need an org with ICE's actual charter. We just don't need one that operates like it is.
