These Republican-on-Republican Disputes Are Keeping Congress Frozen

In the one instance where the president appears truly invested, in passage of a sweeping GOP elections bill, his fixation has only made the intraparty divisions worse.

He still needs to be removed from office. A war powers resolution will not suffice. He circumvented Congress to start the war. He circumvented them on tariffs and appropriations. Why anyone thinks he'd adhere to a Congressional war powers resolution is beyond me.

I have a Repub congressman (Warren Davidson) who has chugged the Kool-Aid for some time now. He cannot get out of his own way about how Der Dotard is keeping us safe from the Iranian terror, how ICE is just doing their job, that Melania is both hot and smart, and that the president is doing fantastic work. I'll wager some 20-year old Scotch that come election time that my representative will talk much less about the head of the MAGA Party, and more about reaching across the aisle, working together to find common ground, and supporting the troops. In my badly gerrymandered district that might save his job. Might not...
