Thanks for that DBT2.
Karen Carpenter preferred drumming to singing.
Her brother re-modeled their modus operandi by putting her up front and away from the drums.
What a tragedy her life was.
Sidenote on drumming: Pete Townshend was a bit disappointed with Keith Moon's on some songs for the rock album Tommy, so he played the drums on some of those songs.
This is supposedly one of them: www.youtube.com

This video reminded me of young Toni Basil who was choreographing dance sequences for movies in the 1960s.
Here's one.

This is a contemporary band from Norway, so no surprise that it's very heavy metal influenced.
Here is a review,
With that album cover, you know exactly what you're getting. You've heard it before " a bunch of musicians who smoked one too many joints in high school, and then one too many joints in college, and decided to share their boundless love for early Black Sabbath with the world.

OK, since this weekend's thread seems to be about live performances more than recorded ones, let me divert it towards blues ...

Good stuff, Corky, thanks for posting.
We heard this story about a drummer right from the horse's mouth.
After Jimi Hendrix passed, his drummer auditioned for Paul McCartney's new group ("Wings").
The final two candidates in Paul McCartney's calculus ended up a dead tie between Jimi's former drummer and one other percussionist.
So apparently Sir Paul tossed a coin and Jimi's drummer lost.
A few years later, Jimi's drummer auditioned for a coalescing super-band of former rockers.
Again, it came down to him and one other drummer in a dead heat.
Unable to decide between the two brilliant percussionists and not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings, the bandmembers simply tossed a coin.
Again, Jimi's drummer lost to a coin toss.
What rotten luck.
The man who related this story to us while we sat in our front row seats?

Just popped up on the algorithm, and just posted to YT.

Tom Hanks' film about a fictional 1960s rock band makes it a point that the bassist will be enlisting in the USMC, so the "Wonders" will have to replace him shortly: upload.wikimedia.org!_film_poster.jpg
