After sentencing and prior to being incarcerated, good-or-nothing Alexandre Ramagem absconded to the US through Guyana to seek political asylum.

The Director-General of the Brazilian Federal Police: "The arrest is the result of international cooperation between Brazil and the US in combating organised crime. Alexandre Ramagem is a fugitive from Brazilian justice and, according to US authorities, is in an irregular immigration situation."

After power-mad oligarch Jair Bolsonaro conferred with the sinister Steve Bannon, this enemy of democracy then tried to replicate the failed 6 Jan 2021 coup d'etat with his own attempted putsch in Brasilia on 8 Jan 2023. After the coup failed, Bolsonaro was tried, convicted, and sentenced to 27 years in prison.

Let's hope this criminal gets the full ICE treatment--shot at, beaten, placed in some old WalMart distribution center with no A/C, no running water, and bags of leaves for a bed. Next stop, El Salvador or Romania...
