the wholly pointless Democrat-inspired shutdown

The problem with trying to blame Democrats for the shutdown is that the Trump and the GOP have let everyone know that THEY control Washington (POTUS, Congress, SCOTUS). It always seems to be "HaHaHa You lost" (from the Trump on down).

So, no matter how you slice or dice it, this is on the GOP... and the American people know it.

'Tis fun and amazing to watch the so-called right-wing stand up, sanctimoniously, and declare: Conservatives give more to charity than (the evil) liberals!.

What they leave out is that what's counted as charity are donations to tax-free organizations, such as, oh, I don't know, churches.

And while some of those charity donations go to things like the financial affairs of the church. Other charity donations go to ministry efforts in foreign countries.

But, the right-wing seems to completely overlook the elephant in the room:

Those same "charity donations" are building 10,000-30,000 square foot mansions for their "leaders."

Those same "charity donations" are buying Gulfstream private jets.

Those same "charity donations" are buying politicians.

The lack of transparency is as clear as an early-morning stream in a Montana valley.
