I know those people will always be with us, just like there will always be people sho think gays are inferior to straights. Some even use religion to justify their bigotry.

For example, a woman doesn't think she's a woman... because of how she's dressed.

So let's use you as an example.
You think you are a gay man.
My understanding is that you haven't had sex with another man in decades, and all the while you've been having sex with your wife. If you asked most people if that describes a gay man, they'd say no. He's obviously straight based on his actions.

But you know you are gay because you know something about you, that we couldn't tell just by looking about you. In fact, we'd make the wrong guess.

This is the same situation trans people are in.

So you are either deliberately missing the point, or you are so lost that you will never make it home.

If you get a chance to listen to the book on tape of Fahrenheit 451 read by the author Ray Bradbury, well, I missed a lot of the poetry when I read it myself as a kid.
