"mandated ideological conformity"
This is just Karl Popper's Paradox oF Tolerance turned on its head.
To Republicans, ideological conformity is when you aren't allowed to say people from Somalia are shistain people.
Expecting people to behave in a civil manner towards one another is the tyranny of ideological conformity.
To wit:
---
The training featured a slideshow and a series of cartoon videos about "systemic racism" and "understanding white supremacy." Attendees were told that "systems of oppression" were "woven" into the "very foundation of America," and that white supremacy is a "highly descriptive term for the culture we live in." Trainees were directed to break into small groups to discuss these concepts before returning to a larger group discussion, where they were told that, if they didn't speak, they would get called upon.

You'd have to be immensely racist to be an armchair Constitutional Scholar who knows that slaves were counted as 3/5 of a person for representation purposes only, thus taking power from the free states and giving it to the slave states, and deny that "systems of oppression" were "woven" into the "very foundation of America."
Do you deny that systems of oppression were woven into the very foundation of America, my little pumpkin?
"People who aren't respected get ignored."
Or corrected.
